About Angela Pogossian

OTD, OTR/L

Hi! I’m Dr. Pogossian, a pediatric occupational therapist specialized in picky eating and feeding challenges. I believe eating is about far more than food — it’s shaped by a child’s sensory and nervous system, routines, emotions, and sense of control. When those pieces (and the family!) are supported, progress becomes possible.

If mealtimes feel stressful, emotional, or like a daily struggle, you’re not doing anything wrongand neither is your child. I have so many families come to me feeling worried, exhausted, and unsure how to help their child eat without pressure, tears, or power struggles. My role is to help make eating feel safer, calmer, and more manageable for both children and parents.

I’m a three-time USC graduate, earning my undergraduate degree at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, followed by my master’s and doctoral degrees at the Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. During my Lifestyle Redesign® residency at USC’s Faculty Practice, I worked directly with individuals navigating complex eating challenges, addressing the routines, regulation, and underlying patterns that influence their relationship with food.

My work is also grounded in the SOS Approach to Feeding®, a sensory-based, play-focused model that helps children gradually build comfort and confidence with food. Together, these frameworks allow me to support not just what happens in therapy, but how eating fits into your child’s real life at home, school, and within family routines.
